2:40pm on Thursday 4 February 2010, a roadside  explosive device was detonated as a convoy of International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) vehicles was passing.
 The blast occurred opposite Al-Shawa Petrol Station, east to Salah Ad-Din Street in the town of Beit Hanoun in the North Gaza District.
 As a result, the glass of four vehicles was smashed.
 Several International staff members and one Palestinian staff member of ICRC were in the vehicles when the blast occurred, as the convoy was on its way to Erez Crossing point to leave the Gaza Strip for the weekend.
