On 16 August 2007, three brothers were injured with shrapnel to different parts of their bodies, as a locally-made explosive device accidentally detonated in their house in Abasan Al kabira area of eastern khan Younis town. The brothers were sent to Nasir Hospital in the town and have been reported to have sustained moderate injuries.
