At app.00.30am on 13 November 2007, the police broke into the house of 46-year-old Muhammad Adel Al Masri, the General Director of north Gaza Governorate and the former Mayer of Beit Lahia Municipality. They arrested him and took him to the Jabalia police station and then to Al Mashtal detention center.
