The IOF killed four Palestinians and injured four in the latest assassination on Saturday evening during the shelling of a car in Tel Al Hawa neighborhood in Gaza City, after which they continued shelling randomly different areas in north Gaza and tightening the siege on the Gaza Strip.
On May 20th at approximately 6.
35pm, Israeli military planes shelled one missile on a grey Mitsubishi in Al Sinaa St.
in Tel Al Hawa neighborhood in Gaza City, killing the driver Mohammad Al Dahdouh, 28, resident of Tel Al Hawa, two women and a 4 year-old child who were in a taxi passing the targeted car.
According to investigations and eyewitnesses, a taxi passing by the targeted Mitsubishi was also hit when Israeli planes fired a missile at the Mitsubishi.
Family members inside the taxi where killed: Hanan Amen, 54, Naema Amen, 25 and her child, 4 year- old Mohammad.
Four were injured: Imad Amen, 39, Mohammad Amen, 30, Moayed Amen, 3- years old and Maria Amen, 2-years old.
This crime occurred simultaneously with the intensification of the imposed siege by the IOF on the Gaza Strip, which affects the movement of individuals and goods.
Further, random shelling target civilians and their properties in north and east of Beit Hanoun, Beit Lahia and Jabalia in the northern Gaza Strip; closure also resulted in a lack of basic human needs, food, and gas containers for home usage which resulted in a further deterioration of the economic situation and living conditions.
Al Mezan Center for Human Rights condemns the IOF intensified offensive, it confirms that killings and random shelling and collective punishment against Palestinians in the OPT constitute grave violations of international law, most notably the Fourth Geneva Convention.
Thus, Al Mezan calls upon the international community, notably the High Contracting Parties to Geneva Convention, to undertake their legal and ethical duty and immediately intervene to halt Israeli war crimes against civilians in the OPT.
