At 5:20pm on Tuesday, 24 July 2018, Israeli naval forces opened heavy fire at Palestinian fishermen sailing off the coast of west Khan Younis. The fishermen, though sailing within the allowed fishing zone, were further chased by Israeli navy and thus forced to stop their work and escape the sea. No casualties were reported.
