At 7:30pm on Saturday, 14 April 2018, Israeli forces located on the eastern borders of Khan Younis opened fire and launched tear-gas grenades at a group of youth assembling near Al Awda camp, organized in Khuzaa town in eastern Khan Younis as part of the “Great Return March” demonstration. One 16-year child was shot in the right arm, and he was taken to the European Gaza Hospital, where his injury was assessed to be light. Four other protesters were harmed by the tear gas.
