93 Injuries, Including 22 Children, in Israeli Shooting in North Gaza Governorate

At 10am on Friday, 13 April 2018, Israeli forces based in monitoring sites opened fire and launched tear-gas grenades at hundreds of Palestinian youth and children joining the “Great Return March” demonstration near the eastern borders in eastern Al Shuhada cemetery in North Gaza Governorate. 93, including 22 children and two photojournalists, were injured—24 by rubber-coated steel bullets and gas canisters, and six wounded in different parts of their bodies. 34 suffered from gas inhalation. Doctors at the Indonesian hospital and Al Awda hospital described these casualties to range from moderate to serious. Protesters who suffered from gas inhalation received the necessary medical treatment in the field. Israeli shooting continued until the evening on the same day.
