Short Link:
At 10am on Wednesday, 11 April 2018, Israeli forces located on the eastern borders near Malaka area in Al Zaitoun neighborhood in eastern Gaza city opened fire and launched tear-gas canisters at tens of Palestinians joining the “Great Return March” demonstration. The protesters assembled near the separation borders in protest to reaffirm the right of refugees to return to their lands from which they were expelled in 1948 and 1967. Two demonstrators were injured—one by live fire and the other by gas inhalation. Medical sources at Al Shifa hospital described their wounds as light. The shooting continued until 7pm on the same day.
