Security Forces Close Al Wataniya Mobile Company’s HQ Office in Gaza City

At 2:00pm on Thursday, 15 March 2018, Diaa Eddein Al Madhoun, the general attorney in Gaza, issued an order to close the headquarter office of Al Wataniya Mobile, located in Al Thafer 9 Building in Gaza city. According to field monitoring, security apparatus in Gaza informed directors of Al Wataniya of the general attorney’s order to close their main office. General Tawfiq Naim, head of security apparatus in Gaza, reported that the order enforcement followed Al Wataniya’s rejection to provide to the public prosecution records necessary to the investigation into the attempted assassination of Palestinian Prime Minister, Dr. Rami Hamdallah. Al Wataniya demanded that the request for those records be issued by the general attorney in Ramllah rather than that in Gaza. Al Wataniya company has been shut down to date.
