At 03:30 pm on Thursday, 11 January 2018, about 20 Palestinian young men and children gathered near the border fence, near Um Hussien hill, eastern Al Bureij in Middle Gaza governorate to protest against the US decision to recognize Jerusalem city as a capital of Israel.
At 04:35pm on the same day, Israeli occupation forces opened fire toward the demonstrators. As a result, one was killed, and three were injured. The child Amir Abd Al Hamid Msa’ed Abu Msa’erd, 15, resident of Al Msadder village sustained a bullet wound in his chest and died. Meanwhile the child Ahmed Mahmoud Ibrahim Al Najjar, 17, resident of Al Bureij sustained a bullet wound in his left thigh and his injury was described as moderate, and the child Mahmoud Tawfiq Sulaiman Al Masry, 16, resident of Al Bureij, sustained a bullet wound in his abdomen and his injury was described as serious, and Adam Saed Ali Baroud, 20, resident of Al Bureij, sustained a bullet wound in his abdomen and his injury was described as serious.
PRSC ambulances admitted all injuries to Shuhada Al Aqsa Hospital in Deir Al Balah.
