At 14:30p.m. on Tuesday, 2 January 2018, Israeli forces located around the eastern borders, near Nahal Oz military site, shot and fired tear-gas bombs at youths demonstrating near the border fence with Shujayya neighborhood of Gaza City. The demonstration was held in protest of the recent U.S. recognition of Jerusalem as the capital of Israel. Shooting continued until 18:00 of the same day. No casualties or damages were reported.
