At approximately 4:15 pm on Sunday, 15 January 2017, security forces arrested two journalists from Watania Media Agency, near Al Trans crossroads, in the middle of Jabaliya refugee camp, northern Gaza district. The journalists were covering a peaceful demonstration that was organized by a group of youth on Facebook about the electricity crisis in the Gaza Strip.
The police arrested the journalists as soon as they arrived the place and confiscated their cameras. They were released after two hours of interrogation.
