At approximately 5:45 pm on Thursday, 7 July 2016, medical sources at the Palestinian Ministry of Health announced the death of Na’el Sulaiman Salah, 18, from wounds he had sustained earlier. According to Al Mezan’s field investigations, at approximately 7:00 pm on Friday, 8 May 2015, Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF), stationed at the northern border fence between Gaza Strip and Israel, opened fire at young men who were near the northern borders in Al Sayafa area, north of Beit Lahiya in North Gaza district. As a result, Na’el Suliman Salah sustained bullet wound to the head. Medical sources at Shifa Hospital described his injury as critical.
In their affidavit to Al Mezan, Salah’s relatives stated that Salah’s friends carried him about 1 Km then he was admitted to Kamal Odwan Hospital by a car of one of the farmers who was there. After that, Salah was referred to the intensive care unit at Al Shifa Hospital due to his critical injury.
