Date of birth: 1 January 2012
Date of death: 19 August 2014
Two-year-old Sarah from the northern area of the Gaza Strip was the daughter of Mohamed Al-Deif, a ‘wanted’ leader of the Hamas movement by Israeli intelligence. Her family and a media blackout prevented any information gathering on her.
Sarah and her family were staying in a rented apartment in Rabah Al Dalou building. On 19 August 2014, Israeli forces attempted to kill her father by bombarding the building. The house was completely destroyed. Six people were immediately killed including Sarah, her mother Wedad, 28, and her brother Ali, 7 months. Sarah's body could be recovered only after two days.
