Thirteen-year-old Al Hassan from Camp-5 in Al Nusairat refugee camp in the middle of the Gaza Strip was a very brave, active, clever and shy child. He was an outstanding student at school. His ambition was to be a teacher. He liked to play football with his friends. "It was very shocking to us to lose our beloved ones," said his aunt.
At 7:30 pm on 1 August 2014, many families and relatives were gathered in Al Hassan's house when an Israeli missile struck the house, without prior warning. The house was completely destroyed over the heads of its residents. A large number of people sustained injuries and 16 people were killed, including Al Hassan.
