Fourteen-year-old Shama from the Qobet Zra'a area in Rafah in the south of the Gaza Strip was a sociable, beloved and smiley girl. “She was married fourteen days before the holy month of Ramadan 2014,” her cousin Nidal said.
On 29 July 2014, an Israeli warplane targeted Abdullah Ab Zeid’s three-storey house without warning. The house was completely destroyed while all of its inhabitants were inside. Nine people were immediately killed, including Shama, and twelve others were seriously injured.
