Name: Rawan Nasha't Ghazi Siam
Date of birth: 22 May 2006
Date of death: 2 August 2014
Eight-year-old Rawan from Al Seiamat neighborhood in Rafah in the south of the Gaza Strip was a very pretty, pampered and joyful girl. She wished to be a bride and to wear the traditional white wedding dress. She and her cousins liked to play with dolls. “She was scared during the war,” her father said.
Rawan and her family evacuated their house and went to her aunt’s house, believing that it would be safer. Her aunt’s house was targeted without warning. The house was full of families, including children, seeking shelter. Except for two girls who managed to survive, everybody in the house was killed, including Rawan.
