Name: Mohamed Nedal Yousif Abu Mohsen
Date of birth: 2 August 1998
Date of death: 2 August 2014
Sixteen-year-old Mohamed from Al Jneinah neighborhood in Rafah in the south of the Gaza Strip was a very kind child. He helped his mother in her household work. He was a good speaker. He liked sports, especially jogging. He got 95% in his last year at school. “I told him I want you to get 100% at Tawjihi but he told me that he wanted to go to God and get high degrees in heaven,” his mother said.
On 1 August 2014, Mohamed’s family decided to evacuate to avoid intense Israeli shelling. The next day, they went back to collect some necessary belongings before returning to the shelter. A few hours later, Mohamed went back home again, where he met his neighbors. An Israeli drone missile directly targeted them. Four people were immediately killed including Mohamed.
