Short Link:
Name: Lama Yasser Ahmed Abdel Wahab
Date of birth: 2005
Date of death: 2 August 2014
Nine-year-old Lama from Rafah, Gaza Strip was a nervous, sensitive and daring child. She liked putting a lot of care and attention into her appearance. She would cry if somebody angered her. She liked to play with her toys, teddy bears, and dolls. Her ambition was to be a doctor in the future. “She liked to be a distinct person,” her father said.
On 1 August 2014, the Abdel Wahab family decided to evacuate their house due to intense Israeli bombardment. Lama’s mother took her children to her father’s house [the Al Shaer family’s house] and her father went to his sister’s house. On Saturday night of 2 August 2014, the Al Shaer family’s house was bombarded with missiles by Israeli warplanes. Nine people were killed, including Lama. Many others were wounded.
