Sixteen-year-old Emad from Rafah in the south of the Gaza Strip was a calm child. He was sociable and loved by many. He had a lot of friends. He wanted to be an electrical engineer,” his mother Raghda, 36, said.
On 23 July 2014, Emad’s family received a warning by Israeli forces to evacuate their house. The house was evacuated and then bombarded. At 10:00 am on 2 August 2014, Emad returned to the house to check on his pigeons. When he reached the front door an Israeli warplane targeted him with a missile.
