Doha from the Al Shaburah area, Block E, in Rafah in the south of the Gaza Strip was very excited about joining her new secondary school. She was an outstanding student at school even under the most difficult circumstances. She was the first in her class and received appreciation certificates. “She was a committed and straight forward girl,” said her father.
At approximately 3:20 am on 2 August 2014, Bassam Al Nairab’s house was targeted by an Israeli warplane, which led to the killing of nine civilians, including Doha. Many more were injured. Doha was just 14.
