Two-year-old Aseel from Al Soltan neighborhood in western Rafah in the south of the Gaza Strip was said to be a very unique child. She had a lovely smile. Along with her sister, she liked to play with her toys and her dolls. She was very enthusiastic about going to kindergarten.
At 2:30 pm on Friday, 1 August 2014, Farooq Ghaith’s house was bombarded with missiles from Israeli warplane. The family received no warning of the impending attack. Four members of the family were immediately killed: Aseel, her father, aged 30, and her grandparents, Hanan, 46, and Farooq, 55.
