Date of death: 20 July 2014
Sixteen-year-old Anas from Al-Jneinah, Rafah, in the south of the Gaza Strip was a sociable but also sometimes a very shy child. He loved playing football and was a huge fan of FC Barcelona. He always helped his mother in her housework. He liked going to the beach. He wanted to go to university and to graduate and get a decent job.
At approximately 3:00 am on 20 July 2014, when Anas was at his brother’s house, an Israeli drone targeted him and his siblings without warning. They had been sitting on the balcony. “Anas and two of his brothers were instantly killed,” his sister-in-law says.
