Seventeen-year-old Ameen from Al Seiamat neighborhood in Rafah, in the south of the Gaza Strip had just completed his secondary school. He was anxious to join university. He was a spoilt and stubborn boy. “He loved playing football,” his grandfather, Mahrous, says, who is 66.
The Siam family house was located adjacent to the Abu Sneimah home that was bombarded by Israeli missiles. The Siam family decided to evacuate. As soon as they went out to the street, they were hit by a missile. Ten were killed instantly, including Ameen. Many others were wounded.
“It’s so hard losing the family all at once,” added Mahrous.
