Ahmed Nasser Hussein Kullab, from Rafah, was a friendly, sociable boy. He wasn’t much of a student, according to his surviving sister, but he loved football and regularly played in the various championships in Gaza. His favorite team was Barcelona. According to his sister, he was frightened during the Israeli military onslaught. He was killed on 21 August 2014 in an Israeli war plane attack on his house. His mother, 40, and two of his siblings, Abdullah, 11, and Yousif 15, were killed in the same attack. He was 17 when he died.
“It’s so hard to lose four people from your family at once. I keep feeling like they will come back soon,” says the surviving sister.
