Short Link:
Name: Tawfiq Tawfiq Ahmed Abu Jame’e
Date of birth: 5 March 2009
Date of death: 20 July 2014
Five-year-old Tawfiq from Khan Younis was his father’s favorite child. He made a good impression on people. He started attending kindergarten when he was only two. “I loved him too much. My wife called him Tawfiq because I survived an accident when she was pregnant with him, and she insisted on naming him Tawfiq, after me,” his father said. He liked to dance ‘Debkah’, the traditional Palestinian dance, with other children. “Tawfiq was born in the same room that I was born in,” his father added.
On 20 July 2014, just before sunset, the Abu Jame’e’s three-story house was bombarded by Israeli war planes without prior warning. Twenty-six people were killed, including Tawfiq.
