Name: Sajed Yaser Ahmed Abu Jame’e
Date of birth: 11 December 2008
Date of death: 20 July 2014
Five-year old Sajed from Khan Younis was a very clever boy. He was supposed to start first grade at school in the next academic year. He was a very naughty boy. He liked to dance ‘Debkah’, the traditional Palestinian dance, and to draw and color. His mother used to hang his paintings in the mosque. “He memorized the last chapter of the Quran,” his uncle said. He was said to look like his mother.
On 20 July 2014, just before sunset, the Abu Jamee’s three-story house was bombarded by missiles by Israeli forces. There was no prior warning given. “It was a real massacre; twenty-six people were killed. Three people were injured and survived,” his uncle said.
