15-year-old Rami Khaled Yunis Al Reqeb from Khan Younis liked playing football after school. He was said to be a funny boy. He always joking around. But during the Israeli military bombardment on the Gaza Strip he became very introverted and withdrawn.
On 28 July 2014, the day of the Eid holiday, Rami and his father went to the mosque to pray the Isha [evening] prayer. As they were leaving, a group of other people were hit by a missile fired by Israeli drone. Rami died instantly, in front of his father. “I feel that he is still with me, even though he is dead; he was the whole world to me,” his father says.
