Four-year-old Rahaf from Khan Younis was described as smart and keen. She and her brother were twins. She was attending kindergarten. Rahaf liked studying and writing. She was a very sociable child. She used to play with her brothers and had many toys.
Rahaf had a fever and was with her family in her grandfather’s house after the Israeli ground invasion started. At 2:30 pm on Friday, 25 July 2014, a motorcycle was targeted with an Israeli missile in front of her grandfather’s house. The shrapnel hit Rahaf’s eye and she was taken to Al Naser Hospital. She was later transferred to the European Hospital. After that she was taken to a hospital in Egypt. From there, she was supposed to be sent to Germany for appropriate medical care. She died at 6:00 am before leaving.
“Rahaf was the soul of our house, which is full of memories that are hard to forget,” said her mother.
