Raghad, from the Al Salam neighborhood in Rafah in the south of the Gaza Strip, was a beautiful and smart child. She had a strong personality. She liked to play with her dolls and toys. “She was a courageous child. She used to collect the eggs from their chicken,” her grandmother said.
On 4 August 2014, the Al Shaer’ house, which is located adjacent to the Masood family’s house, was bombarded by an Israeli missile. Blocks of concrete and rubble fell on Raghad’s bed while she was in her room. Raghad died instantly. She was two years old. Her little sister was also killed. Hala was nine days old.
