Mohamed Ayman Salah Al Shaer was described as a strong-willed and somewhat naughty five-year-old. “He loved going to kindergarten and was very happy there, but one day he decided he didn’t want to go and so he hid when the kindergarten bus arrived. He only reappeared when the bus driver gave up waiting for him and went on without him,” said his aunt.
On 20 July 2014, Mohamed’s house was targeted by an Israeli warplane. Mohammed was killed in the attack along with his sister and his mother.
