Name: Ghaliah Mohamed Samir Al Najjar
Date of birth: 5 November 2012
Date of death: 26 July 2014
Ghaliah, only twenty months old, was from Khan Younis. She was a smiley and sociable child. “We were dreaming of seeing her grow up and become an important person. In her last days she was sick, and I remember that the day before she died she had stomach pain. I had the feeling that I would never see her again,” her father said.
On Saturday 26 July 2014 at around 2:50 am Israeli forces dropped a bomb on their house, and “suddenly I found fire in front of me, without hearing any explosion. We started sinking down and we were covered in rubble. I was taken to the hospital to get medical care, and I was told later that my entire family was killed,” her father said.
