Short Link:
Name: Sama Ra’ed Mohamed Abu Jaber
Date of Birth: 8 March 2013
Date of death: 29 July 2014
Sama from Block-7 in Al Bureij town in the middle of the Gaza Strip was a stubborn child. She insisted on getting whatever she wanted. “The last thing I remember her doing was when she wanted to hold the glass of juice to drink it by herself,” said her aunt.
At 12:30 pm on 29 July 2014, Sama was with her mother visiting her grandfather on the Eid event. Her grandfather’s house was bombarded by Israeli warplanes. The missiles struck the house without prior warning. Seventeen people were killed, including Sama at the age of one. Her body was found scattered all over the place.
