Short Link:
Name: Leen Anwar Abu Jaber
Date of Birth: 26 April 2011
Date of death: 29 July 2014
Leen from Block-7 in the town of Al Bureij in the middle of the Gaza Strip was a smart and sweet child. She was close to her grandmother and spent a lot of time with her. She used to carry a school bag and tell us, “I do not want to go the kindergarten, but I want to go to the university,” said her grandmother.
At 12:40 pm on 29 July 2014, an Israeli bomb was dropped on Leen’s house while it was full of women and children. Nineteen civilians were killed, including Leen at the age of three. Her body was recovered, but her face was blue. “I can still see her shadow in front of me,” added her grandmother.
