Lama from Block-D in Al Nosairat in the center of the Gaza Strip was a smart child. She loved drawing. Her ambition was to be a painter like her aunt. She liked singing and dancing. “Lama was very talented and intelligent. She told me that she was not scared of the Israeli missiles,” said her aunt said. She was very close to her grandmother and used to help her all the time. “She was distinct and the most precious grandchild,” her grandmother said.
On 31 July 2014, Israeli warplanes bombarded the house of Amer Al Baiuni. Twelve people were immediately killed, including six children and five women. Lama was killed at the age of eight.
