Date of death: 10 July 2014
Five-year-old Abdel Rahman from the Hekr Al Jame'e area in Deir Al Balah in the middle of the Gaza Strip was a spoilt and shy child. He liked to eat cake and sandwiches very much. He was very scared during the war. Abdel Rahman was very close to his mother. His ambition was to have a bicycle and to travel by airplane. “When I was pregnant, I wished I would have a girl but it was Abdel Rahman. He was so scared during war. He stuck to me all the time,” says his mother.
At 6:30 pm on 10 July 2014, there was an intense Israeli shelling around our house. Abdel Rahman went to the third floor to call his cousin. An Israeli missile directly hit the room where he was. Abdel Rahman was immediately killed and was taken to the hospital.
