Eleven-year-old Yousif from Al Shte'e refugee camp in Gaza City was the youngest of his siblings. He had a nice personality and performed excellently at school. He received a scholarship to study English at Amideast. His ambition was to be an English teacher. “He bought new clothes and shoes for the Eid holiday,” said his mother.
Yousif often played in the street in the refugee camp. On 28 July 2014, the first day of Eid, Yousif and his friends were playing in the street when they were attacked by an Israeli warplane. There was no warning. Ten children were killed in the attack, including Yousif.
