Name: Saji Hassan Akram Al Hallaq
Date of birth: 21 September 2010
Date of death: 20 July 2014
Three-year-old Saji from Gaza City was waiting for the end of the war because the bombardment scared him. He wanted to start living his dream of going to kindergarten. He was considering the war as the only impediment in his way.
“I wonder why the Israeli forces were so scared of Saji and other children to target them in a such brutal way,” his father said.
On 20 July 2014, three Israeli missiles hit the Al Hallaq family’s apartment on the second floor of the Cordoba building in the Remal neighborhood in the center of Gaza City. No warning was given. Seven members of Al Hallaq family were instantly killed, including Saji, and four members of the Ammar family were killed in the attack.
