Nine-year-old Omar from Gaza City was a well-loved boy. He said his ambition was to be an astronaut so that he could explore the universe and visit planets other than earth. He helped his mother and aunt around the house. He liked to play with his brothers. He used to feed the chickens and cats. He would tell his cat, “I'll see you in heaven,” said his aunt.
On 21st August 2014, the whole family was riding a motorcycle cart, heading to their land to carry out some works when they were targeted by Israeli forces. Three of them were killed on the spot, including Omar. Others died later from their injuries.
