Date of death: 17 July 2014
One and a half-year-old Mohamed from the Al Sha’af neighborhood in Gaza City was a spoiled child. He was smaller in size than most children. He had recently started talking and walking and he liked to play with other children. His family moved to his uncle’s house during the war as it was safer there than at their house. “He liked sweets, fruits, and milk,” said his father.
On 17 July 2014, the family members gathered in the safest room in the house seeking protection from Israeli shells and missiles. Suddenly, an Israeli shell hit the house. Three people were killed instantly, including Mohamed, whose head was divided into two parts by shrapnel.
