Date of birth: 13 January 2002
Date of death: 17 July 2014
Twelve-year-old Mohamed from the Al Sha’af neighborhood in Gaza City had a strong personality. He loved practicing gymnastics. He liked children and used to attend the summer camps. He liked to play football and supported FC Barcelona. He was good at school. “He was close to me, and I relied on him to help me around the house,” said his mother.
During the war Mohamed and his siblings spent most of their time in their uncle’s house. There was an intense and random shelling against their neighborhood. The whole family gathered in the safest area of the house. An Israeli shell directly hit the house in the early hours of the morning. Mohamed was hit in the head and was killed instantly, along with two others.
