Short Link:
Name: Lian Nael Yousif Al Selk (Lulu) her nickname
Date of birth: 23 January 2011
Date of death: 30 July 2014
Three-year-old Lian from Gaza City was named by her mother and was the spoiled child in the family as she was the youngest among her siblings. She liked to take good care and maintain her belongings. She liked to listen to her mother's talks. She would sleep with her mother because she was used to her mother telling her stories before bedtime. Her favorite story was Leilah and the Wolf, which she had memorized. She loved her brother Ali very much and used to play with him. "My wish for Lian was for her to be a teacher in the future," said her mother.
At 5:00 pm on 30 July 2014, when a truce was declared, Lina’s grandfather took all of the children to the roof of the house. The children were busy playing in the open air when, without warning, they were targeted by an Israeli drone. Seven people were immediately killed, six of them children, including Lian.
