Three-year-old Kamal from Gaza City liked playing with cats. He was an intelligent child. During the war he was scared of the sounds of explosions. He liked to play with his toys and he liked football. He was very close to his father and would spend most of his time with him. “His grandfather used to tell him children stories,” said his grandmother who is 78.
On 4 August 2014, the Al Bakry family’s house was targeted by Israeli forces without warning. The three-story building was completely destroyed. Five people were instantly killed including Kamal. Six others were seriously injured.
