10-year-old Anas Alaa Subhi Al Batish from Gaza City was a smart and sociable boy. He liked playing computer games and got on well with his siblings. He was a courageous boy. He liked to sit with people who were older than him. He was a good friend of his mother. He had a beautiful voice and used to sing for his family.
On 12 July 2014, an Israeli warplane fired two missiles at his home. Twenty people were killed, including Anas. They were all buried on a piece of land near their destroyed home. “Every day I say hi to them,” said his mother.
