Seventeen-year-old Anas Akram Al Skafi from Al Sheja’iya was a quiet and serious boy with a sweet tooth. He had a twin brother called Sa’ad. He always helped his mother with household chores like shopping. He had hoped to train as a doctor but did not manage to get the requisite grades. He then decided to study law instead.
He was killed on 20 July 2014 when an Israeli warplane launched an attack on their house. Eight other people including Sa’ad’s father, 63, his twin brother Sa’ad, 17; his brothers Mus’ab, 27; and Abdel Rahman, 22; his cousins Issam, 29; Ali, 27, and his uncle Mohammed, 52, were all killed in the attack.
