Date of death: 22 July 2014
16-year-old Abdel Nasser Sa’di Mesleh from Gaza City was described by his family as being a lovely boy who liked to play football. He was really close to his mother and liked spending time with her at home. His father saw him as his ‘right hand man’. He was responsible and helped his mother fill the water tanks and go to the market to buy food for the family. He hoped to do computer studies in the future and couldn’t wait to get his driving license.
On 22 July 2014, Abdel Nasser went up to the roof to check on the water tanks. Israeli forces fired a missile at the neighbor’s house and Nasser was killed in the attack. “We are so sad. We lost one of the main members of the family. He used to help me and his father,” his mother says.
