Date of death: 30 July 2014
15-year-old Abdel Kareem Wael Shamali from Gaza had to leave school early to help his family because of the terrible economic situation in the Gaza Strip. He worked in an aluminum workshop and hoped to own one himself at some point in the future. He was a kind boy.
On 30 July 2014, Abdel Kareem went out to the As-Sheja’iya market to buy some ice. While he was there Israeli tanks fired randomly into the market, killing Abdel Kareem. He left behind a twin brother who looks just like him. 29 people were killed in the attack. “His twin Younis wishes to die to be with his brother Abdel Kareem,” said his mother.
