Abdel Aziz Mohammed Al Silik from Gaza City was killed the day before his third birthday. He was very close to his mother. He especially liked to play with one of his cousins who was also named Mohammed. He liked playing around and would copy and imitate his brothers all the time. “He had said he wanted to be an engineer when he grew up,” said his mother.
At approximately 5:00 pm on Wednesday, 30 July 2014, the Israeli forces announced a truce. The grandfather went upstairs to the roof with his grandchildren, as they did before the war. An Israeli warplane targeted them. As a result, the grandfather Abdel Kareem Al Silik, 70, and his seven grandchildren: Lena, 8; Malak, 6; Ola, 8; Omnieh, 8; Abdel Haleem, 5; Abdel Aziz, 3; and Liyan, 3, were killed. They all died instantly.
