Name: Yousif Emad Mohamed Qadurah
Date of birth: 15 October 2003
Date of death: 28 July 2014
Ten-year-old Yousif from the Al Salam neighborhood in Jabalia in the north of the Gaza Strip was described as a normal child. He liked to play and have fun. He was calm and introverted, perhaps because of his disability. He was diligent at school. “He liked to play football,” his father recalls.
“My family relocated to my father’s house seeking shelter. On 28 July 2014, the house was targeted by Israeli missiles at sunset. My son Yousif and my daughter Hend, 10, were immediately killed in the attack. I consider myself a strong and patient person, capable of handling this tragedy,” his father added.
