Twelve-year-old Wala'a from Beit Hanoon town in the North of the Gaza Strip was a kind and responsible child. She was close to her mother and helped her in the household tasks. “She used to take care of her brother”, her mother said.
On 18 July 2014, "I checked on my children in their room every few minutes, but I could not prevent their killing", her mother added. An Israeli missile targeted their room. They were immediately killed: Ahmed, 11; Mohammed, 15; and Wala’a.
